Dear Supporters and Friends of the Campaign,
Please find below a brief update regarding the campaign to elect David Tancredi and Bill McMahon to the Bernards Township Committee.
SIGNS
It will soon be time to display our Campaign signs both large and small. Everyone who can display a sign on their private property should do so. If you wish to serve on our Campaign Sign Team, please let me know. I ask that each and every one of you reach out to at least three friends or neighbors and ask them to display a sign.
CANVASSING
One of the best ways to support David and Bill is to reach out to neighbors and distribute their campaign literature. Such “grass roots” efforts pay big dividends in terms of reaching voters in a personal way. We have recently updated our palm cards and door hangers and they really look great.
SOCIAL MEDIA
This year’s social media has been a huge success. Our metrics suggest that we are doing far better than our opponents. Everyday we post new and interesting information about the Campaign, the candidates, and what they stand for. A big part of our success is due to your continued support by liking, commenting, and forwarding our posts. You can find information about our candidates at:
MEET AND GREET SESSIONS
Opening your home to select friends, family, and neighbors and giving them the opportunity to personally get to know Bill and David is a great way to support the Campaign. This is part of our coordinated “grass roots” efforts and it has proven to be highly effective. We have a few open dates left so please make your interest known so that we may schedule you as soon as possible.
DONATIONS
It’s no secret that campaigns cost money and are getting more expensive every year. Running a campaign involves websites, social media, compliance, mailers, flyers, palm cards, door hangers, signs, bank accounts, fund raising and more, all of which require spending money. Many of you have been generous donors. I urge each and everyone of you to contribute to our Campaign if you have not already done so. I know David and Bill are grateful for your support.
ENDORSEMENTS
Several of you have already recorded personal video endorsements or our candidates. Such endorsements have been shown to be extremely effective when paired with our impressive social media outlets. Please reach out to me if you would like to record a personalized video endorsement.
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
One of the many ways you can support the Campaign is to author a letter to one, or all three, of our news outlets. This includes Tapinto, Patch, and of course, the Bernardsville News. There is no magic formula for what you want to say or how you want to say it. It is always best to speak from the heart and in your own words.
