Meet Bill McMahon: A Commitment to Community and Leadership

Bill McMahon is running for Bernards Township Committee to ensure our community remains a wonderful place to live and raise a family. With deep personal roots and an exceptional record of professional leadership, Bill is uniquely positioned to understand and represent the residents of Bernards Township.

Bill and his wife Carol have proudly called Basking Ridge home for 28 years, raising their two children, Sara and Brian, here. Sara, a cheerleader and basketball player at Bernards Township schools, now lives nearby in Mendham with her own young family. Brian, who played varsity sports during his high school years, now resides in Charleston, South Carolina. Bill's strong family ties reflect his enduring commitment to community values.

Professionally, Bill has demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills through his successful tenure at Morgan Stanley, retiring as Managing and Divisional Director overseeing 12,000 employees and $8 billion in revenue. His philanthropic leadership as Chairman of the Morgan Stanley Foundation and his strategic governance role at Feeding America underline his dedication to community impact and public service.

Currently serving as President of the Hills Highland Master Association and as an arbiter for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Bill continues to provide thoughtful leadership and careful governance. His extensive experience in financial services, philanthropy, and community organizations makes him an ideal candidate to address the evolving needs of Bernards Township.
